Shamrocks Fall Short, 5-4, at Phoenix
The Phoenix Lights topped the Pacifica Shamrocks, 5-4, with third baseman Félix Adame playing a big role. Adame was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Lights in the win. Juan Salinas was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities. Phoenix currently is in last place in the Cory Lidle League Gene Mauch Division at 26-34.

The Lights got a big at-bat from center fielder Rick Hendricks. For the game, Hendricks was 1-3, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 8th hit of the season gave Phoenix a 5-3 lead.
