Monarchs Continue Skid Thanks to McNair, Beetlecats
|
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats beat the Marysville Monarchs, 9-2, at Bloomfield Road. The Beetlecats got a fine performance from right fielder Chris McNair, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Marysville has now lost 6 in a row.
Fomio Onishi aided the Buzzard's Bay cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice.
Said losing manager Jorge Magana: "Give the Beetlecats credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
