The Rock River Rats beat the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 7-3, at The Stetson Bowl. The Rats got a fine performance from left fielder Harry May, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Hima Chinnappan earned the save, his 1st, for the Rats. Rock River, at 31-25, sits in third place in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division.

Nelson Middleton drove in one run for Rock River. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Yoichibei Matsubara. It was his 38th RBI of the season.

May told a Rock River Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
