Islanders Subdue Columbus, 6-4

The Columbus Aces and Hawaii Islanders met at Central Park Downtown Stadium to settle a score.
The Hawaii Islanders picked up a win at Central Park Downtown Stadium, knocking off the Columbus Aces, 6-4. Starting pitcher David Guzman was an essential part of his team's success. Guzman got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Guzman allowed 1 earned run. Bernalldo Rocchi locked down his 8th save.
The Islanders got a big at-bat from first baseman Bagaskoro Pakpahan. For the game, Pakpahan went 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 31st hit of the season gave Hawaii a 3-1 lead.
"I liked his command," said Hawaii manager Leland Ray. "David was throwing strikes."
The Islanders bumped their record to 22-15 with this latest triumph.
