Hellcats Fall Short, 3-2, at Riverside
|
The Riverside Red Bulls picked up a win at Red Bull Stadium, knocking off the Jacksonville Hellcats, 3-2. Starting pitcher Ricky Bolden Jr. played a key role in the triumph. Bolden Jr., now 4-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 8, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. The third-place Red Bulls improved to 30-27.
Early in the game, right fielder Haruhiko Yamanaka had a 2-run single for Riverside. It was his 12th hit of the season and put the Red Bulls on top, 2-1.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Riverside manager Will Hunt.
