Pierce Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Wichita in Walk-Off Win
The Wichita Wolverines eked out a 8-7 win versus the San Antonio Storm Troopers at Howling Park. Nobody did more than designated hitter Bob Wright, who captured player of the game honors. Wichita reliever Jason Graves picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Steve Becker took the loss. The first-place Wolverines have won 5 straight.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Wichita first baseman Willis Pierce, facing Steve Becker, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Wolverines the 8-7 win.

"Big win," said Pierce.
