Rodríguez Slugs Red Bulls to 7-4 Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from the 26-year old left fielder Wilson Rodríguez helped the Riverside Red Bulls beat the Jacksonville Hellcats, 7-4. Lien-ying Mar earned the save for Riverside, his 11th of the year. With the win, the Red Bulls improved to 29-27.
Rodríguez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Tadakatsu Murayama, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Red Bulls a 7-4 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Rodríguez.
"Enjoyed this one," Rodríguez told the Riverside Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
