Stogies Get Road Win, 7-6
|
The Havana Stogies beat the Brooklyn Black Knights, 7-6, at Blue Ivy Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Reynaldo Aguilera, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Stogies have an impressive 27-12 record.
The Stogies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Shi-kai Tsu. For the game, Tsu went 1-5 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Havana a 7-6 lead.
"We found a way to get it done," Tsu said.
