The Carson City Mustang went home winners at The Field at Richmond, thanks in large part to starter Iemitsu Shiroi. Shiroi silenced the Topeka Predators, enabling Carson City to grab the 3-1 win. Shiroi got the win, improving to 4-4. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Shiroi allowed no earned runs. Carson City now has a 6-game win streak.
The Mustang got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Kyung-jin Yun. For the game, Yun was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the seventh, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Carson City a 2-1 lead.
