Morales Slugs Storm Troopers to 11-4 Win
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers beat the Topeka Predators, 11-4, at The Clone Army. San Antonio right fielder Ricardo Morales earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. San Antonio is now 30-24, 2 games up in the Bob Moose League Jim Leyland Division.
Morales contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for San Antonio in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-1, Morales took a fastball from Michiomi Moteki and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Storm Troopers to leap in front, 5-2.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Morales.
