Behind a solid performance from first baseman Willis Pierce, the Wichita Wolverines defeated the Cincinnati Snaps, 13-10. Pierce was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Wolverines. Wichita bumps their record to 27-25 with the win.

Wichita pinch hitter Manny Gonzáles changed the complexion of the game in the top of the eighth inning. That's when he belted a grand slam home run off Cisco Núñez. His 2nd home run of the season put Wichita in front, 12-10.
