Spokane right-hander Tom Bennett made an effective start against the Phoenix Lights at The Kennel, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Tokuhei Yano got the save, the 6th for him this season. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 28-18 with this latest triumph.
Roberto Marando aided the Spokane cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Bennett told a Spokane Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
