In a tight contest at The Field at Richmond, the Jacksonville Hellcats edged the Topeka Predators by the score of 5-4. Jacksonville first baseman Devin Davis, who blasted 2 home runs, was named the player of the game. Earning his 4th save for Jacksonville was Bruce Berardi. Jacksonville is last in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League with a record of 17-31.
Spencer Meaker helped out the Jacksonville cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Topeka manager Dan Jones.
