Storm Troopers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Kian Viccars was instrumental in his team's 8-4 triumph over the Riverside Red Bulls. The designated hitter went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the San Antonio Storm Troopers. San Antonio reliever Jesús Espinosa picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Héctor Bello was saddled with the loss. Kent Whitten saved it for San Antonio.
The Storm Troopers got a big at-bat from third baseman Jesse Sutton. For the game, Sutton was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 48th hit of the season gave San Antonio a 4-3 lead.
"I felt good up there," said Sutton. "I saw the ball well."
The first-place Storm Troopers have won 4 in a row.
