Storm Troopers Get Road Win, 8-5
|
San Antonio third baseman Jesse Sutton was instrumental in his team's 8-5 win over the Carson City Mustang. Sutton, who is tied for 5th in the FFL in runs scored with 35, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Storm Troopers. Hang-yu Pak earned the win for San Antonio. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 2 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 4-1. The Storm Troopers, at 25-22, lead by one game in their division.
In the top of the third inning, catcher Peter Southern came through big-time for the Storm Troopers. With San Antonio leading 1-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Sutton said.
