Storm Troopers Win at Carson City, 5-2
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers picked up a win at Cowboys Stadium, knocking off the Carson City Mustang, 5-2. Starting pitcher Tagashashi Ueda was an essential part of his team's success. Ueda got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Ueda allowed 2 earned runs. Kent Whitten recorded his 9th save for San Antonio.
Sumiteru Nakagawa aided the San Antonio cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Nakagawa called the win "a collective effort."
The Storm Troopers bumped their record to 24-22 with this latest triumph.
