Beetlecats Raise Rally Flag, Beat Atlantic City, 7-5
Atlantic City got a terrific performance from pitcher Tony Alfonso, but it wasn't enough to beat the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. Buzzard's Bay won the Parliament Field contest, 7-5. Alfonso was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Ji-hwan Yea, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save. Buzzard's Bay is now 23-23, Atlantic City 22-21.

Buzzard's Bay used the bat of José Guzmán to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Beetlecats ahead, 7-5. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it did its damage.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Buzzard's Bay manager Keith Irwin.
