Cornhuskers Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Fraser Valley
The Cornhuskers grabbed a win, 7-3, at The Stetson Bowl, overcoming a fine effort from Fraser Valley pitcher Leslie Arrington. Arrington went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. DeKalb reliever Manny López was credited with the win, to go to 1-2. Yoichibei Matsubara took the loss for Fraser Valley. The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 27-17 with this latest triumph.

Jason Colaianni's at-bat in the top of the seventh inning was a big one for DeKalb. Coming to bat with one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and DeKalb trailing 3-2, the center fielder hit a run-scoring single.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Colaianni said.
