Smith, Storm Troopers Hammer Mustang

Spirited fans at Cowboys Stadium greeted the Carson City Mustang for their clash with the San Antonio Storm Troopers.
The San Antonio Storm Troopers defeated the Carson City Mustang, 14-2, at Cowboys Stadium. San Antonio second baseman Oscar Smith was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Dennis Hale earned the win for San Antonio. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing no earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1.
Smith had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a 2-run triple. The Storm Troopers went on to win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Smith.
The Storm Troopers bumped their record to 23-22 with this latest triumph.
