The Pacifica Shamrocks got a superb performance from pitcher Leland Bullins, but the Phoenix Lights still won the game, 6-4. Bullins was named the player of the game despite the loss. He came in in relief and pitched to 25 batters . Phoenix reliever Kazuhiro Miyata picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bernard Coste took the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Juan Salinas.

Had Topan Alisjahbana not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Alisjahbana hit a grand slam. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Lights.

"Enjoyed this one," Alisjahbana told the Phoenix News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The Shamrocks, at 27-16, have lost 5 in a row.
