|
The Long Island Ducks picked up a win at Long Island Stadium, knocking off the Rock River Rats, 9-3. Starting pitcher Mike Tyson was an essential part of his team's success. The Rats, now 18-22, have lost 4 in a row.
Ed Jackson drew 1 walk for Long Island. The 24-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Owen Lewis. It was his 1st walk of the season.
"It feels good to get this one," Jackson told the Long Island Daily News.
