The game between Spokane and DeKalb is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Spokane Bulldogs scored a 3-2 win versus the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Kennel. Spokane pitcher Norberto Bianchi nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 25-15 with this latest triumph.
In the bottom of the 6th, third baseman Chia-liang Li gave Spokane the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bulldogs had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out home run off DeKalb pitcher Manny López changed that -- and Spokane went on to win.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said DeKalb skipper Eduardo Varerla.
