Multi-HR Game for Beeman in 6-3 Win
|
Marysville left fielder Tim Beeman played a vital role in his team's 6-3 triumph over Phoenix. He was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for Marysville. Marysville starter Phil Lovelace was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. The Monarchs bumped their record to 26-14 with this latest triumph.
Marysville grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Beeman, who is tied for 8th in the ACL in home runs with 6, hit a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Monarchs out in front, 4-2.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Beeman said.
