Ken Boyer did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Youngstown Tune-Ups from losing, 5-3, to the Riverside Red Bulls at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Boyer went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lien-ying Mar earned his 8th save in 9 tries. Riverside is now 21-22.
Elliott Clark aided the Riverside cause with a 2-run double in the top of the first. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Clark said.
