Multi-HR Game for Bernard in 4-2 Win
|
Sandy Springs catcher Thomas Bernard played a vital role in his team's 4-2 triumph over Fraser Valley. He went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a double for Sandy Springs. The Spartans bumped their record to 21-20 with this latest triumph.
The Spartans got a big at-bat from center fielder Pancho Figueroa. For the game, Figueroa was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Sandy Springs a 2-0 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Bernard said.
