Benefiting from Dennis Perry's productive game, the Youngstown Tune-Ups downed the Riverside Red Bulls, 8-6. Perry was 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Tune-Ups. Bob Galloway got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Keisaburo Kanada nailed down his 11th save.

Perry contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Youngstown in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Perry took a slider from Charlie Bennett and stroked the triple to center. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Tune-Ups to leap in front, 5-4.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Tune-Ups manager Robby Tate. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The third-place Tune-Ups have won 4 in a row.
