DeKalb starter Matt Pinke had a strong outing against the Long Island Ducks at The Corn Crib. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-4 win. The first-place Cornhuskers have a one-game lead in their division.

Seizo Tomita aided the DeKalb cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the second baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"Enjoyed this one," Tomita told the DeKalb Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
