Victory Pushes Republic Record to 24-13
|
Noam Foucher drove in 3 runs to help So Cal hand Seattle a loss. The final score was 5-3. Foucher had 1 single and 1 triple for the Republic. He also scored 2 runs. Todd Mullins, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 3-0. Pin-zhen Au locked down his 13th save.
Foucher had a game-changing triple in the top of the sixth. On a 2-1 cutter from Mokichi Nishiyama, he banged a bases-clearing triple to right, giving the Republic a 4-1 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Foucher.
In postgame comments to the So Cal Times, Foucher said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The Republic have an impressive 24-13 record.
