With second baseman Derek Warford leading the charge, the Fraser Valley Black Bears defeated the Long Island Ducks, 14-5, at The Stetson Bowl. Warford went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Black Bears bumped their record to 20-15 with this latest triumph.

Justin Nance, who is tied for 3rd in the FFL in total bases with 84, aided the Fraser Valley cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We're all smiles after that win," Warford told the Fraser Valley Daily News.
