Ducks Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Fraser Valley
|
The inspired effort of Fraser Valley shortstop Ricardo Díaz was not enough to prevent a 8-5 loss to the Long Island Ducks. Díaz went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Long Island starter António Domínguez was credited with the win after throwing 93 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Long Island occupies last place in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division at 16-18.
Nick DeLuca aided the Long Island cause with a 2-run single in the top of the third. For the game, the third baseman went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," DeLuca told the Long Island Daily News.
