Seattle Sasquatch starter Jun Nakayama turned in a sterling performance against the Portland Beavers, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Gabresilassie Cherono earned the save for Seattle, his 9th of the year. The Sasquatch now have a mark of 15-23.

The Sasquatch got a big at-bat from first baseman Floyd McAuley. For the game, McAuley was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Seattle a 2-0 lead.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," McAuley told the Seattle Daily News.
