Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Gerardo Zapata, the DeKalb Cornhuskers defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 2-1. Zapata was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Cornhuskers. Adam Stickells earned the save, his 11th, for the Cornhuskers. The Cornhuskers have an impressive 21-12 record.
