Wolverines Drop Storm Troopers with Late Score
|
San Antonio pitcher Douggie Gimson gave the Wolverines all they could handle, but in the end, Wichita left Howling Park with a 4-3 win. Gimson allowed 2 earned runs on 3 hits over 7 innings. Al Hrabosky Jr., summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save. The Storm Troopers fall to 14-18 and continue their uneven start to the 2033 season.
Wichita took a 4-3 lead on Juan Gruzmán's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off San Antonio pitcher Steve Becker in the bottom of the eighth.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Gruzmán.
