Rob Leibbrandt did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Silicon Valley Hackers from losing, 7-6, to the Carson City Mustang at Cowboys Stadium. Leibbrandt went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Carson City reliever Tony Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jose Arguinzoni took the loss. Gerry LaForest picked up the save for Carson City, his 5th of the year.

With the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the seventh inning, third baseman Héctor Martínez delivered big for the Mustang. Carson City was leading 3-2 when he belted a grand slam home run.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Martínez told the Carson City Today.

The win brings the Mustang to 11-17, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
