Rams Get Road Win, 3-1
|
The Frisco Rams overcame a good performance by San Antonio right fielder Ricardo Morales to knock off San Antonio, 3-1, at The Clone Army. Morales went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. Frisco reliever Dane Manwaring was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Douggie Gimson took the loss. The save was Moos Teunisse's, his 7th.
It could have been a different outcome for Frisco, had it not been for John Thompson, the 20-year old left fielder . Thompson contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put Frisco up, 2-0.
"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Thompson. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
After today's action, Frisco sits at 18-19, while San Antonio falls to 19-19.
