Conditions were not ideal but Buzzard's Bay and Wichita were able to put their game in the books.

Benefiting from Yasuhiro Nishimura's productive game, the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats downed the Wichita Wolverines, 6-5. Nishimura was 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk for the Beetlecats. Ji-hwan Yea picked up the save, his 8th.

Satoshi Iijima drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Buzzard's Bay. The 23-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Mark Sandwell. It was his 24th walk of the season.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Iijima said.

With the win, Buzzard's Bay goes to 14-16.
