Phoenix right-hander Tsuneyo Kichikawa pitched his team to victory over the Madison Beehive at The Hive. The final score was 5-2. Jian-cheng Wang earned the save for Phoenix, his 1st. The Lights are off to a tough start, getting just their 10th win in 27 games.
Ramiro Ramírez aided the Phoenix cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first. For the game, the shortstop drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
