The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats beat the Sandy Springs Spartans, 12-5, at Bloomfield Road. Buzzard's Bay third baseman José Hinojosa earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Dimitri Jourdan earned the save, his 1st, for the Beetlecats. The win gives the Beetlecats a record of 11-16.

Hinojosa had a key at-bat for Buzzard's Bay early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Buzzard's Bay an early 5-2 lead.
