Black Bears Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Frisco
|
The Fraser Valley Black Bears defeated the Frisco Rams, 7-4. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Dan Groover, who was 1 for 2 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The save was Shu-de Tian's, his 7th. With the win, Fraser Valley is 13-11.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the top of the fifth inning. That's when third baseman John Hardwick, the 13 overall pick in the 2029 draft, got hit by a pitch. The Black Bears went on to win.
"We'll savor this win," Groover told the Fraser Valley Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
