Storm Troopers Shut Out Black Bears
|
Romain Quere pitched a gem to lead San Antonio to a 5-0 victory over the Fraser Valley Black Bears. Jesús Espinosa got credit for the save for San Antonio. It was his 1st of the year. The Black Bears fall to 11-11 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.
The Storm Troopers got a big at-bat from first baseman Jorge García. For the game, García was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 5th double of the season gave San Antonio a 3-0 lead.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Quere.
