|
Marysville right-hander Vincente Cerni made an effective start against the Frisco Rams at Mitts Fieldhouse, leading his team to a 4-3 win. The save was Barry Sherman's, his 6th. Marysville is now 17-4.
Had Sakutaro Okada not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Okada hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Monarchs.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Cerni. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
