Victory Over Mustang Takes DeKalb to 11-5
DeKalb Cornhuskers starter Alan Gorringe was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Carson City Mustang, 5-3. Adam Stickells, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save. DeKalb, now 11-5, has played well in the early going.

The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from center fielder Jason Colaianni. For the game, Colaianni went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave DeKalb a 3-1 lead.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Gorringe. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
