Victory Over Red Bulls Takes Marysville to 12-3
Marysville Monarchs starter Luis Rodríguez turned in a top-notch performance against the Riverside Red Bulls at Mitts Fieldhouse. The result was a win for the Monarchs, 7-1. In 7.1 innings, Rodríguez surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Marysville is off to a hot start at 12-3.

The Monarchs got a big at-bat from shortstop David Tapia. For the game, Tapia went 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Marysville a 3-1 lead.
