Though the conditions were not ideal, the Spokane Bulldogs and DeKalb Cornhuskers came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Spokane pitcher Eric Buffy did his part in helping his team beat the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Losses have been few and far between for the Cornhuskers so far this season. Their record drops to 10-5.

Dale Hapgood drew 2 walks for Spokane. The 23-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Masuhiro Miyazaki. It was his 2nd walk of the season.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Buffy.
