The Topeka Predators saddled the Madison Beehive with a loss at The Field at Richmond. The final score was 5-3. Darrell Prince, named player of the game, was 3 for 4, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Topeka left fielder scored 1 run and drove in 3. The Beehive fall to 5-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2033.
Prince had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 1-0 curveball from Duane Fraser, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Predators a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Prince.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Prince said.
