Streaking Spartans Win Another One
|
Getting a good performance from first baseman Douglas Dill, the Sandy Springs Spartans defeated the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 8-4. Dill went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Spartans. With their winning streak at 7, the Spartans have raced to a strong start this season.
The Spartans got a big at-bat from third baseman Chuck McNeil. For the game, McNeil was 1-4, while adding 3 RBI. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 20th hit of the season gave Sandy Springs a 2-0 lead.
