Shamrocks Lose, 9-4, at Bloomfield Road
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats trumped the Pacifica Shamrocks, 9-4, at Bloomfield Road. Buzzard's Bay first baseman Satoshi Iijima was named player of the game for his performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Buzzard's Bay, now 6-9, is off to a slow start.

Joaquín Salas had a big run-scoring double for the Beetlecats in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Buzzard's Bay leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Jim Vroom and stroked the double to left. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Beetlecats ahead, 4-2.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Salas said.
