Frisco and Jacksonville got after it at Hellcats Park.
Pablo Moreno made an impact in the 7-3 Frisco win over Jacksonville. Moreno, who is tied for 6th in the ACL in stolen bases with 5, went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Damien Sands, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-0.
Moreno had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the third inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Rams went on to win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Moreno.
The Hellcats fall to 6-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 2033 season.
