Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Red Bulls
|
The Riverside Red Bulls topped the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 3-2, in Cory Lidle League action at Red Bull Stadium. The player of the game was Riverside pitcher Daryl Walder. Riverside reliever Lien-ying Mar picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Keisaburo Kanada was collared with the loss. The win brings the Red Bulls to 9-5, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
The Red Bulls got a big at-bat from shortstop Miguel Rosero. For the game, Rosero went 1-1. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 16th hit of the season gave Riverside a 3-2 lead.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Riverside manager Will Hunt.
