Enforcers Turn Back Buzzard's Bay, 5-3
|
The Atlantic City Enforcers defeated the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 5-3, in Cory Lidle League action at Parliament Field, with Atlantic City pitcher Tony Alfonso named player of the game. The Beetlecats fall to 5-8 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.
The Enforcers got a big at-bat from catcher Rudy Murphy. For the game, Murphy went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Atlantic City a 4-2 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Murphy said.
